Derby!

So, I have been stretching and working out since I started Derby. And im already more flexible than I started out as. Not like a TON more flexible, but enough to notice, which I think is good for it being less than a week!!

A few of the girls went to classic last night to practice and I went and met them there. I learned how to crossover, run on my toe stops and fall on one knee without totally biffing it. Haha! We also loosened my trucks because I felt like I was going to tip over doing crossovers on the corners and now I can actually feel the floor being gripped by my wheels. Which at first was really really weird, im used to my wheels slipping on the floor for th4most part when I go fast so it was a big change. I also tightened my laces which helped too. I can feel my foot inside moving around when I turn corners and I dont think that is a good thing really. Plus my wheels are outdoor wheels so I need to get some indoor skates anyways. I want pink and black ones, but we'll see!

My Helmet came in the mail today! Hooray! It's triple 8 brand and its hot pink! I ordered it a a few days ago and in teh meantime have been using a black triple 8 helmet, but this pink one is way better. Now I juss need to go get my Derby name and number (Gift 37) decal-ed onto it and prolly some stars and/or a cool design across it. But I havent quite decided exactly what juss yet. Thats a work in progress.

I cant wait for mondays practice! I think its going to be our last day adding people to the team, im not 100 percent sure, it could be next week.. But I think I saw that this monday was the cutoff, so we'll see about that too. Anyways I juss wanted to get online and update on my derby stuff and now im out! <3<3
