Ok so I havent been johnny on the spot with the photo of the day for a while, haha. Oops but ill get better at it! Or maybe i wont, haha. Anyways This pic was taken during the 4th of july parade in provo. HVDD skated in the pre-parade and I was handing out fliers and such. It was a ton of fun, and i didnt even get sunburned! Score!!! I got my pink fishnet shirt, my white shirt, and my pink fishnets all at Gen X, I got my tutu and hat on ebay, I got my spike collar at hot topic and i got my white tights at walmart! Enjoyy!

Sooo, I havent done a photo of the day for a bit cuz ive been SOOO super busy. But here is todays! Lol, I did this shoot after the provo 4th of July parade. I love this outfit I wore and decided that it needed to be captured! I got my helmet online, I got my Zuca bag from www.zuca.com, I bought my skates from our local skate guy Carl Hacking he is awesome! I got my leg warmers off Ebay, I got my white tights at walmart, I got my pink fishnets at gen X, I got my fishnet shorts at gen x, I got my tutu on ebay I got the fishnet shirt at gen x, I got my white tank with my derby name on he back at gen x, I got my hat on ebay, and i got my crown from my bestie who brought it from idaho! ♥♥ This picture was edited by a friend of mine as the credit say, and love it! HVDD In The Provo 4th Of July Parade!

Soooo, HVDD were in the provo parade today for the 4th of July! It was so much fun. I walked and handed out fliers for this parade. I wore an awesome outfit and got tons of compliments! It was overcast for most of the walk which made it better because part of my outfit was fur! So I wasnt too hot! I handed out tons of recruitment fliers and got tons of pix taken plus took a few lol! Parades are so fun! This coming up saturday is a double event, one at the deer hunter and one at High Steppin Show Store. I will be attending both!! Here are some pix from the parade!

HVDD chillen at Wing Nutz!

So sometimes after practices we go places for a few hours like Ihop or Wing Nutz juss to hang out and chill! Ive been to Wing Nutz twice with the girls and its a ton of fun. I love Derby and eerything about it! I couldnt be happier that I joined!

HVDD Derby Recruitment night!

So far we have recruited 3 girls and possibly 2 more! Recruitment night will remain thursday nights until we get into our derby house and practicing regularly then it will change to saturday nights! Idk how close they are to being done with it, but lets hope its CLOSE! I wanna skate!

USARS is accepted!

Soo they accepted our teams USARS yesterday, woot! This means I get to play in the Bout Saturday! Hells yes! Im super excited. So tomorrow I go find a bunch of stuff for my outfit and make some arm bands with my numbers on them! Im super excited to play, I cant even wait! Juss thought Id update you on that!

I skated 25 laps in 4 minutes 28 seconds! ROCK ON!

WOOO! I passed Wasatch's League Skills Assessments test! So that means I am cleared to play in the bout on saturday! excited? YES! The only thing that might stop me is the USARS insurance. Which mine is already sent in so maybe we can get day passes and whatnot. Either way I should be finding out tomorrow and the chances are like 80 percent. Im excited sooo excited. At practice tonight in SLC we got to work on hits and taking hits and we were hitting each other hard too. They said the scrimmages will be like 1 girl who is really good, and then 3 beginners and a good jammer. Kind of for training and such, so us Noobs will get to play with other noobs and hopefully not die! lmao! Saturday I also have the Unique Carwash, so Ill be there in the morning then to the bout in the afternoon. Busy day saturday! Il keep you updated!

Skills assessments.

So tomorrow im carpooling with some other girls up to the derby depot in SLC for a practice with Fraux Meow and we are going to be passing off minimum skills assessments tests. Not our actual skills test, juss one that will clear us to play in the picnic scrimmage with all kinds of other people girls and boys! It will be 2 girls only scrimmages of a half hour long, and then 2 co ed scrimmages of a half hour long each. So Lets hope I pass and lets hope I dont get my ass whooped bahahahaha!

Working on the Derby House!

We got a TON done today, I organized the contact list, updated it and sent of 25 names to be approved for our league. Then I went and helped clean the derby house again, I sweeped and moved pallets, emptied concrete chunks into drainage holes, cleared out a shopping cart and then Skates brought us Pizza! It was way fun, I didnt take any pix tonight although I brought my camera. I was juss busy and didnt even think about it. Idk when we'll be done with our building but I do know that when we are we are jumping straight into skills assessments an rules tests! So ive been studying up on my rules like a mofo!  Im gonna pass mine lol! Juss an update, ttyl! <3<3

Derby Recruitment

Sooo, I actually dont really know how I even became on the recruitment team at all, I didnt sign up when they started so I think it was when Ann had me start recruiting online and got me more into it. Either way I was asked recently to take over position as head of recruiting!! Awesome. So tonight I sat down and figured a lot of stuff out. Im planning a meeting before practice monday with the recruitment team and things are gonna change! We already recruited 3 girls and I need to find a place for them to practice, maybe they can practice in the derby house, who knows? So im gonna figure that out, along with new recruitment times, saturday recruitment's, recruiting in places other than classic, ect. I also have a question list that im gonna talk to the team about and see what they think, as well as a tryout list for the fresh meat. So after monday ill update with the new plan! I also have on my plate team name registry, joy hahaha. I haven't the first idea where to start there. So I wrote a question list and you gotta start somewhere. Answer my questions then ill begin the process! More updates later. Juss wanted to let eeryone know about my new status and this is going to go far! You'll see! :)(: <3<3

This photo is one of my all time favorites from this shoot. I really enjoy the darker style of shooting and editing because I dont do them alot so when I do its like something new. We shot in Lehi by this old abandoned warehouse and railroad tracks. I got my jacket at spencers and my jeans at Buckle they are silvers. Enjoy the pic!

ZUCA!

So my husband got me a Zuca for all my roller derby gear, and it is the coolest little bag ive ever seen! I freakin love it bad. it fits my skates, helmet, gear, water bottle, lysol spray, bandannas, tools, gum, and whatever else I want to put in it! You can even sit on top of it to put your gear on, its seriously the coolest thing of my life! Heres some pix!

More cleaning of the Derby Home!

After practice some of us stayed ad helped clean the derby home. It has alot of work before it will be done, but we have already come so far! So much being accomplished! Our goals today were to wipe all the walls down in the upstairs and downstairs offices, then wash the windows upstairs, then sweep and mop the upstairs office floors and the downstairs office floors, Then fill in the remaining 3 holes with concrete and get as much of the floor industrial cleaned as possible. Which by the time i leaf at midnight we had reached our goals! Theres still more to do, and tons more floor to be cleaned. But it will be worth it in the end! Im so excited to start practicing there! I handed in my membership application today, along with my USARS for insurance. Once those get sent in and i get my USARS card I will be able to skate in the building! So lets hope we can get it all finished this week! We are planning on laying the track Sunday! I couldnt be more happy to see this all pulling together and working so well! We are doing great as a league! I was approached today by Amity also, and she is the head of recruiting, she asked me to take her place as head, and I was reluctant at first only because I already have a lot on my plate but I can do it, I know I can. So I agreed. Once it gets cleared through Raggs then ill be new head of recruiting and able to go to board meetings and such. That will be cool too! K heres some pix!

Outdoor Derby Practice!

So our building isnt all the way cleaned yet, which means we got o practice outdoors today! It was way fun and I only got pix of the warm ups and the figure 8's. But we skated all the way up spanish fork trail that lines the highway 6 road, and then weaved back down. It was way fun! Heres some pix!

I love this pic, juss sayin. I dont usually smile because I always look goofy, but somehow I pulled it off here. lol! Anywho moving on! This shoot was taken at the Salt Flats in the old graffitti house thingy. Which was really cool by the way. I got my coat with the fir hood a Aeropostale, I got my gloves t ho Topic, and the jeans im wearing that you cant see I got at buckle, Also the camaro shirt im wearing that you cant see either I got at walmart, and my boots that you also cant see I got at forever young in the mall. Mark from MGA studios is one of my favorite people to shoot with! I love him.

Cleaning the Derby House!

So we got our warehouse! And its HUGE! Its big enough to fit 3 regulation sized tracks inside! Although we are going to put 2 and only 1 at regulation size. Either way we are going to utilize all the space, and put our main trick in the middle and a training track on the right hand side, plus prolly more training areas on the left as well. We have a lot of space to work with so we're gonna make it work! Im so excited, I was there cleaning tonight and will be going back sunday! Practices moved and now are monday nights, tuesday nights, thursday nights, and saturday mornings. 6-9 on weekdays and 10-1 I think it was on saturday, so we'll see. If we can get eerything cleaned up enough this week then we'll start practicing there on monday! So excited! Heres a few pix of us tonight!

So we had our last practice at classic skating last night and went to Wing Nutz afterwords! It was a ton of fun and Im gonna miss classic! At least we get to go back on Thursdays for recruitment nights! Anyways Since Ive already explained all about my derby outfits a million times, ill leave it out of this one! I usually wear the same outfit to derby, sometimes in different colors, but the same thing. Either way, I love my girls and Derby rules!!!!

We got our new building!!! Go HVDD!

So we got our new building, its in Spanish fork and thats all im at liberty to say! We had a cleaning party yesterday which I missed unfortunately, but there will be more cleaning throughout this week which I will attend! Tonights practice at classic will be our last practice there! So im gonna bring my camera and take tons of pix for us to hang on th Walls of our new building! Im so super excited, things keep getting better and better. Cant even wait to start practicing there! Yessss. Juss thought id throw that out there! Ill be updating tonight when I get home with some pix from our last practice at classic! So be watching for that!

So I decided t use this photo because The Happy Valley Derby Darlins were in the Springville parade and it was a freakin blast! We skated and had tons of fun! So I got my skates at Sonic when I worked there, I got my socks and pink spandex at Hanks in provo, I got my shorts at Gen X, I got my pink shirt at aeropostale, I got my grey shirt from HVDD and I customized it myself, I got all my gear from sports authority, and m camelback I cant remember where I got it from. Happy Valley Derby Darlins Fundraiser at the Deerhunter!

So lat night was the fundraiser with HVDD at deerhunter. It was a ton of fun, we gave away tons of prizes in our raffle and sold alot of other stuff. I hung out and mingled with eeryone, got to know more people that I didnt know before, some a little too well (Quin, I should murder you) Anyways it was a blast. I skated the entire night which was surprising because I didnt fall and die at all, though I think I should have at least once haha.

Happy Valley Derby Darlins in the Springville Parade!

Soo, this morning we were in the Springville parade and it was so much fun! It wasnt as long as I thought it was going to be, which Im not complaining haha. But it was cool. We were doing drills like figure 8's, fast feet, falls, pace lines, whips, and hip assists. We had girls holding the banner while skating too, and girls pulling wagons, handing out fliers along with some of the refs too. It was really hot outside but the sun wasnt all the way out so that was good! First parade evar for the HVDD! Yay! We'll be in more coming up soon! So watch for us! ANd we're recruiting too! So if you wanna join us let us know!

CattleDrive at Carols Cove!

So we did our first promotional event as the Stars of Unique at Carols Cove last night! Cattledrive was playing and an old friend of mine Michael Hernandez is the lead singer and guitar player of the band! So that was cool. We went to B and B's and got our hair and makeup done, then headed out! We got there around 9pm and started playing pool, then we got on stage and introduced ourselves and the band! Later on we went around and had eeryone put their name in our raffle for shirts and we drew out 7 names, then for the last 2 shirts we had a best tattoo contest and we judged the tattoos and gave away 2 more shirts. Then we danced all night on stage and off with cattledrive and played pool. It was really fun. Allover it was a  good night and I think we furthered our name out there! Cant wait to do it again! Heres some pix from the event.
