Derby Update!

So Im doing better crossing over and skating in general. I have been pricing new indoor Skates and Carl (Hes our Skate go to guy) suggested some Rebel Invaders! Im going to get them with hotpink wheels, the boot is black. It wont be for about 2 weeks or so to get them fitted and ordered and such, but im excited!

Next thing on teh list, is we had alot of fall practice at our last mondays practice night and  I have these epic bruises on my knees! Bahaha its awesome! They dont really hurt a ton, they juss look really brutal!~ I expect to get more battle wounds as time goes on.

Moving on, the Happy Valley Derby Darlins have their first promotional event this Saturday, April 16th at Flirts in Lehi! Starts at 8pm, 21+ We are going to be promoting, handing out sponsor packets, taking pix with fans, selling merchandise and hanging out all night! So come support your local roller derby League! Happy Valley Derby Darlins are the only roller derby league in Utah County! Go Us!!!

Next Item on th agenda, The Darlins are holding another fundraiser, this time it will be a yardsale. I dont have all the details yet, but I do know it will be at the end of April, and we are supposed to be getting things together for the sale. So I got a ton of stuff that I have laying around, plus I asked my inlaws to see what they could find, since they always come across things from eeryone. It should end up being really good.

Also the warehouse we picked out first measured too small, so we found another warehouse, this one in spanish fork and from th last I heard we are waiting on contact back from the owner. So we'll see! hopefully soon we'll have a place to practice that isnt classic skating! It will be our own place, and we can have practices for as long as we want, and not so late hours prolly. Since right now we practice from 9 to 11 at night. So maybe we can make the hours a little earlier and maybe practice for longer.

And last but not least, I got a smaller mouthguard and its like heaven in my mouth! Although I would really like a Guardian with fangs, i might go ahead and get one, they are really cool. And my Helmet came in the mail! It's hotpink and Triple 8 Brand! I love it, and it fits way better than my black one. I juss returned the black one so its all good. Once I get my skates, ill be set! Time to go find a few more legging colors now, since i only have Pink, Orange, Blue, and purple. I want yellow and green too! Oh and black and white I also need.

Derby!

So, I have been stretching and working out since I started Derby. And im already more flexible than I started out as. Not like a TON more flexible, but enough to notice, which I think is good for it being less than a week!!

A few of the girls went to classic last night to practice and I went and met them there. I learned how to crossover, run on my toe stops and fall on one knee without totally biffing it. Haha! We also loosened my trucks because I felt like I was going to tip over doing crossovers on the corners and now I can actually feel the floor being gripped by my wheels. Which at first was really really weird, im used to my wheels slipping on the floor for th4most part when I go fast so it was a big change. I also tightened my laces which helped too. I can feel my foot inside moving around when I turn corners and I dont think that is a good thing really. Plus my wheels are outdoor wheels so I need to get some indoor skates anyways. I want pink and black ones, but we'll see!

My Helmet came in the mail today! Hooray! It's triple 8 brand and its hot pink! I ordered it a a few days ago and in teh meantime have been using a black triple 8 helmet, but this pink one is way better. Now I juss need to go get my Derby name and number (Gift 37) decal-ed onto it and prolly some stars and/or a cool design across it. But I havent quite decided exactly what juss yet. Thats a work in progress.

I cant wait for mondays practice! I think its going to be our last day adding people to the team, im not 100 percent sure, it could be next week.. But I think I saw that this monday was the cutoff, so we'll see about that too. Anyways I juss wanted to get online and update on my derby stuff and now im out! <3<3

Roller Derby!

So I joined the Happy Valley Derby Darlins Last night! And practice was sooo much fun! I absolutely love eerything about it! I woke up this morning with minimal muscle pain, surprisingly haha. But im so excited for next week. I know that this is something I love to do, and I can go far. Which is my plan. Raggs already had me play as a jammer during our first practice, I think Im already getting the hang of eerything. :)(:

Prayers for Japan.

I juss want to say that it's soo sad what happened in Japan and the surrounding countries that were affected, all my thoughts and prayers go out to the families who lost loved ones these past couple of days. I hope all of yours will too.

Onto other news, I actually started some photo manipulation juss to try it out. Im no photographer or anything, but im getting better at photoshop which was a goal of mine for a while here. I've only got a few pictures so far, they are only of eyes. But I thought you guys might want to check them out. So since I have nothing else to update about thus far then here they are!

This is the first manipulation that I tried out. I got the eye from a stock photo off of Google search and the planets I had in my photos from a while back.

This was the second eye I did, it didnt take as long as the first one, so I assume im getting the hang of it. Anyways I also got this eye of google, as well as the planets and the fire in the pupil.

This was my third one, I thought it would be cool to get some fire going so I used the same fire as I put in the pupil of the eye above and put it on here, as well as got the eye of google.

And this is the last one I worked on so far. I like it because its simple and pretty, not as elaborate as the other 3 but I Like to have a mixture of all types.

So there is a talent that I am developing. Until the modeling starts to pick up then hopefully you guys can enjoy these. :)(

Update!

Holy wow, I havent written in a very long time. All kinds of new stuff has happened since then but I dont remember it all. Lol! Either way, Im still with the Vyxenz, we are working on getting a new website up for the moment and the events have slowed down which isnt too bad because they were like eery weekend and eery day of the weekend there for a little bit. Anyways we got sponsored by Dr. Johns and are re-doing their whole store pix with pix of us, I chose not to be in that shoot though because I dont want to wear lingerie. We havent got to see who else is in that one yet, that will happen soon. Still waiting on some photoshoots to get back to us, some singles from the apaches we shot in, those should come out in Mayish I think.

Moving on, I cant wait for summer so I can do some summer shoots, I hate always having to wear winter clothes! But if we get a good snow in before then i'm going to do a snowboarding shoot in a bikini. And that will be fun! And freezing. If the snow never comes then I'll save that one for next year. Updatess!

So I have been soooooo busy lately, and havent even had time to write! Ugh, so here goes for the updates! Number 1, Things with the Vixens are going extremely well! We got new management, then split from them and now are in newer management and things couldn't be better. We are doing alot of events, and AUDITIONS! She can give you all the details and such that you will need, and set you up an appointment! Anyways, we attended the low range offroad swap meet, and sang karaoke! It was way fun. We got tons of pix too from that event. Also we did an event at CLub Vegas with Split Lid playing live, then another event at the westerner. After that we attended the Golds Gym Competition at Sandbar, and the next day some of the girls went to Tooele to the races. Our next event is tomorrow night at Club Dj's and it's a masquerade ball. We're going dressed as voodoo dolls and we're gonna tear the club up! So catch me there after 9pm! And The vixens started doing themed shoots for a few girls at a time, and the last one I was in was a ragdoll shoot for halloween, it was epic. So mobile blogging a really long blog dosnt really work..

So I guess I havent written in a while... Fail! Lol so heres the catchup, they rescheduled the salt flats shoot and instead shot in an underground parkinglot. I didnt attend though, also I missed the bridals the old car shoot and the lifestyle shoot. I have been extremely busy plus all my clothes and gear and pretty much everything is in storage so its hard to be prepared for a shoot. Thats the main reason why i've been missing the provo creative meetups lately. Either way i'm going to be going back soon, possibly the very next shoot even. I'll keep you updated on that. 

Nextly Urbanite Imagery (formerly Chelsea Dawn Photography) has created a modeling team called Urbanite Vixens. Her ultimage goal is to become a modeling agency and send models to magazines and such for jobs. Right now she is partnering up with TrendE magazine where we a select few of us will be contracted and working for them. The rest will be placed elsewhere. Its exciting.  Our first Vixens shoot was Last wednesday it was Me, Lucky, Cupcake, Rikashae, Bug and Nish. We did skater styled group shoots and then singles by an old abandoned warehouse and some flatbed diesel trucks. It was awesome!! I had a freakin blast. After that we came back and changed into heels and dresses and shot outside my house in the back. It was so much fun!

Just kidding next shoot is next wednesday not today lol my bad.
